Studio Renovations – more progress …

The renovations on the new studio continue to progress well. With the help of a good friend, Jim Perry, we roughed in the framing for the ceiling vents and wiring for the new studio lighting. We first had to isolate a good power source to not put too much load on any one circuit. We then ran the wiring for three separate banks of lights so there’s lot’s of control – from full lighting in teaching situations, to low “control room” ambient lighting for student recording sessions. I also roughed in the viewing window last week (opted for a larger 31″x 48″ window than first planned) along with an Ikea Pax cabinet build-in. I have chosen some mirror style doors on this cabinet to increase the feeling of space and am building it in so that the doors are flush with the studio walls.
