New CD in the Works & Skip’s “Jazz Friends” Compilation

Happy New Year, friends!

Wow … it has been a while since I last put some thoughts down on my blog …  hmm, isn’t this just is the way it is with blogging … the busier we get (and more we have to say) the LESS WE BLOG!???

Anyways, on the “Home Front” I have really been enjoying the down-time and rest after a full (and rich) time of concert ministry in Ontario and B.C. with the “Glory and Peace” Christmas Tour which wrapped up at Broadway Church in Vancouver on December 23/12. I have needed this rest to recharge and rekindle fresh creativity, inspiration and innovation for the new Flyingbow CD Project which is in process … more details below.

Here are a few photography highlights of the last few months …

It was great to once more join Robin Mark and the PK Worship Band at the Hershey Center this Fall

Along with a wonderful group of Canadian artists, it was also a real honour to celebrate Imago’s 4oth Anniversary at Glenn Gould Studio

Tina Newlove and I with Jian Ghomeshi at the end of a World Aids Day :: Bracelet of Hope event

“Flying Bow” and “Flying Paint”!  …  in action along with artist, Tina Newlove, at the World Aids Day :: Bracelet of Hope event

The “Glory and Peace” Christmas Tour closed at Broadway Church (to a full house) where we were invited to take their morning service

SKIP’S “JAZZ FRIENDS” CD COMPILATION

In more recent news, the Flyingbow Band’s Jazz/Funk rendition of “Come Thou Fount” from the Yahweh CD was selected to be included on a new Canadian Jazz Compilation CD called “Skip’s Jazz Friends”. It is a real honour to be selected for this project. Many of you will know four-time Juno Award winning artist and drummer, Ronn “Skip” Prokop, the founder of the Canadian Band, LIGHTHOUSE. Skip and his team are heading up this project.  More information can be found here.

and finally …

PRE-PRODUCTION STARTED OUR NEW CD PROJECT  (a departure from previous releases)

Yes, if you have been following my Facebook posts recently, we have begun the writing, arranging process for the next Flyingbow CD Project to be released in 2013. It is a departure from previous releases in that it will have a “World Music” flavour to be strategically used in Folk, Blues and Jazz Festivals and international Mission work. We are praying that God will expand our present audience and ministry reach through this new project. It is being supported under the umbrella of Flyingbow Music Ministry. If you wish to financially support this new project,  you may do that here.

That’s it for now … God bless your 2013!
